Bow Island Visitor Information Centre
The Town of Bow Island Visitor Information Center is located on Highway #3 between Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. The staff is very friendly and will help and assist visitors with all the information they are looking for whether it be general information about the Town, the Centennial Park Campground, the 9 hole Bow Island golf club & many more. While primarily and traditionally an agricultural community, they have businesses in the construction, manufacturing, and service industries as well. The entrepreneurial flame was lit there in 1908 with the discovery and development of the first major natural gas field in Alberta. The Bow Island area is now transitioning to renewable energy production with the advent of several large wind and solar projects. The warm sunny weather, long growing season, and excellent irrigation system has inspired generations of progressive farmers and businesses to locate there and provide a range of employment opportunities for our growing population. If you come for a visit or are thinking of settling down here, you will find yourself welcome and have an opportunity to be part of a thriving community.
