Every year in August on the last full weekend before the long weekend, the Taber and District Chamber of Commerce hosts the largest free family festival in western Canada. It celebrates with music, entertainment, rides, chili cook off, show and shine, skateboard corn-test, huge fireworks, a beer garden and much more. You can find us in Confederation Park at 50 Ave/50 Street. Thanks to their many sponsors, most of Cornfest is free. You will only have to pay for the midway rides and your food. There is no gate admission and parking is free. It will kick off with a parade at 4pm on August 22, followed by the Midway and live entertainment for the evening. It continues the next day, Friday Aug 23 by noon with an arts & crafts show, live entertainment, food vendors etc, followed by a full day Saturday Aug 24 ending with a fireworks show around 10 pm. Watch our event page on Facebook for all events as they're added.
